Rouge-A-thlon @ Rouge Park

Tour de Troit presents a duathlon in Detroit’s Rouge Park! We’re combining our two loves (cycling & running!) into one mega-fun event in Rouge Park. The Rouge-A-thlon begins at 9AM with a 5K run, followed by a 10K bike ride, followed by a second 5K, which is chip-timed, run to the finish line. That’s 20 kilometers around Rouge Park’s stunning paved pathways and winding roads. This inaugural race is limited to 250 participants, so get your tickets while you can.

The mission of the Tour de Troit is to promote and encourage bicycling and bicycle safety through education, public events, collaboration with community and government organizations and support for non-motorized infrastructure. The Tour de Troit, the city’s largest cycling event, raises awareness of biking as a mode of transportation and publicizes the growing greenways network in the City of Detroit and all of Southeastern Michigan. Tour de Troit also produces and supports other events that promote a healthy lifestyle and city, including the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Bike Ride, PaczKi Run and Cycle Into Spring.

Tour de Troit has raised upwards of $200,000 towards non-motorized infrastructure since 2005, including the Southwest Detroit Greenlink; the GREEN Taskforce as adminstered by The Villages CDC; and the implementation of a standardized wayfinding system for the City of Detroit. The organization was honored by the League of Michigan Bicyclists with their 2014 Community Support for Bicycling Award for our efforts in this realm.
